Like an anticipated season finale, the Supreme Court keeps the country on the edge of its seat every June, leaving arguably the most contentious cases to the end of the session.

An interesting factor this time around is that with the death of Justice Antonin Scalia this year, there are eight justices—an even number—on the court.
