Congratulations Barry, Deborah, Jes, Board of Trustees, Presidential Search Committee, faculty, students and parents on the selection of Clayton Rose as Bowdoin’s next President. While he has very big and beloved shoes to fill, I’m excited for his arrival and delighted that he comes with such a marvelous background and such great enthusiasm for becoming a member of our college and its rich, storied and successful history and our passionate and devoted community.

  2. Dave Brown '79 says:

Congratulations to Clayton Rose, a wonderful choice to succeed Barry Mills. Thanks to Barry Mills, Deb Barker, Jes Staley and the Search Committee for their leadership and insight during this process. Michael Porter once spoke to the Bowdoin Board of Trustees at an offsite retreat. He stated that the single greatest responsibility of a Board of Trustees is selecting a President. My compliments to the Board Members on the Search Committee for seizing that responsibility and having the wisdom to work collaboratively with the broader Bowdoin community to make an inspired decision.

  3. Bill Clark'76 says:

What a great selection. I met Clayton 35 years ago as young bank trainees and have stayed in touch occasionally over the years. He understands Bowdoin and will be a wonderful leader of our college. Congratulations to all!
