Bowdoin Men’s Rowing Takes On the Henley Royal Regatta

Bowdoin Men's Rowing in England at the Henley Alumni GatheringA Bowdoin boat will compete in the Henley Royal Regatta, the celebrated international rowing competition that has been held annually on the Thames since 1839. The Men’s First Varsity Four, whose boat “the Trigger” is affectionately named after its donor’s late Golden Retriever, have bypassed the Qualifying Races and will compete in their first round of Prince Albert Challenge Cup racing July 3. Cal Brooks ’15 (stroke), Tucker Colvin ’13 (3 seat), Mark Endrizzi ’15 (2 seat), Chris Breen ’15 (bow), coxswain Jen Helble ’14, and Trevor McDonald ’15, who is training alongside them as an alternate, left for England June 20 to train on the Thames and explore London.
