Webcast: Watch Historic Hockey Rivalry Score a Milestone

The storied Bowdoin-Colby hockey rivalry, dating back to 1922 and said to be the oldest among small colleges, will celebrate a major milestone this weekend as the teams play their 199th and 200th games Friday and Saturday.

Watch the live webcast and follow live stats from Friday’s matchup at home at Sidney J. Watson Arena. Saturday’s game will be played in Waterville.

    I’ll never forget my first game as a Bowdoin player. First game of our freshman season (1956) vs. Colby and we are losing. Nels pulls our starting goalie and replaces him with me. I think I allowed only one more goal in a loss but I became the starter thereafter.
