Video: Bowdoin Sophomore Eats and Breathes Fire

Two years ago, Napa, Calif.-native Molly Stevens ’15 begged her parents for an unusual 18th birthday present: fire-eating lessons. Her wish was granted, and she studied at The Crucible, an industrial arts school in Oakland, Calif. The following summer, she learned how to breathe fire, also known as fire spitting or “dragon’s breath.” While she’d like to be a professional performer one day, Stevens says she has a ways to go before she’s good enough to run off with the circus.

  3. Molly Stevens is one of my favorite people. She is a quirky, genuine, and brilliant girl who I am proud to call my friend. I can’t wait to see what she accomplishes in her life.
