Former Bowdoin Coach to be Inducted into Maine Hall of Fame (Bangor Daily News)

 

Howard Vandersea, Bowdoin’s football coach for 16 years, will be inducted into the Maine Sports Hall of Fame this weekend. On Sunday afternoon at the Bangor Civic Center, Vandersea, who is 70, will be honored for his dedication to football, particularly college football in New England, by joining the 37th class of the Hall of Fame.

He finished his long coaching career at Bowdoin (1984-2000), where his teams went 46-79-3, according to the Bangor Daily News.
