Women’s Basketball Resumes Play Today

Women’s basketball closes out 2011 with a pair of contests at the Posada Royale Holiday Classic just outside of Los Angeles. The 6-2 Polar Bears face New Hampshire’s Rivier College today at 3:00 (eastern time), and will take on another opponent at 7:00 p.m. (eastern time) on New Year’s Eve. Fans can follow the action online with live stats and video, direct from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

The welcome mat wasn’t exactly out when 1st Lt. Edward Yoo ’09 arrived in the Sangin District of Afghanistan. But by “empowering the public,” Yoo and the other members of Company A, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Division have reduced the violence and are working to build trust.
