During a time of national despair in Japan following last month’s tsunami and its continued fallout, a Japanese cell phone commercial stands out for its fulfillment of that principle. Bowdoin’s Asian Student Association has dedicated this year’s Asian Week — going on right now — to helping inform the campus community about the crisis; proceeds from various events benefit the Japanese Red Cross.
