Bill Matthews ’65 Part of Hockey Legacy (New York Times)

The Lower Pond at St. Paul’s School in Concord, N.H., is said to be the site of the first organized hockey game in the U.S.

Bill Matthews ’65 played hockey for St. Paul’s — and later for Bowdoin — and also coached the prep school team. Today Matthews is the school’s rector and is quoted in a New York Times article chronicling the school’s hockey legacy.
