Photos: Recreating A Great Lakes Tragedy in the Bowdoin Swimming Pool

Lone Wolf Documentary Group of South Portland, Maine, (where Jed Rauscher ’95 serves as a producer/editor) brought a film crew to campus recently. They were here to recreate the sinking of a passenger ship as part of “a modern-day investigation covering two Great Lakes, three ships and a 7-year swath of history at the turn of the 20th century,” for the National Geographic Channel. The scene, shot in Bowdoin’s Greason Swimming Pool with the help of Bowdoin students, will be included in the upcoming National Geographic show, “Ghost Ship.”
