Women’s Golf — The Bowdoin women’s golf team sits in sixth place following the first day of competition at the Middlebury Invitational. Round one scores can be found here.
Men’s Golf — Middlebury is in first place in the New England Small College Athletic Conference Golf Championship Tournament at Brunswick Golf Club. Trinity holds second place and defending champion Williams is in third, with host Bowdoin in fourth out of ten. The Polar Bears will be looking to advance to their first-ever spring NESCAC Championship Tournament.
Women’s Rugby — The Bowdoin College women’s rugby team suffered its first regular-season loss since October 2010 in a 29-17 loss to Tufts on Saturday.
Men’s and Women’s Cross Country — The Bowdoin College men’s cross country team took first while the women placed second in their only home meet of the season Saturday afternoon at the Bowdoin Invitational.
Men’s and Women’s Tennis — The Bowdoin men’s and women’s tennis teams are competing at ITA Regional Tournaments this weekend. The men’s team is at Middlebury (in-progress results here) while the women are at Williams (in-progress results here).
Football — The Amherst College football team held Bowdoin to 16 yards rushing and pulled away with a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to take a 27-11 win Saturday at Pratt Field. The Jeffs improve to 2-0 with the win while the Polar Bears drop to 0-2 this season.
Sailing — The Bowdoin sailing team is competing in regattas around the region this weekend. In-progress scores are available here.
Women’s Soccer — Abby Einwag scored a pair of first-half goals and Kiersten Turner added two assists and a score of her own in a 4-0 victory for the Bowdoin women’s soccer team over nationally-ranked Brandeis on Saturday afternoon. The Polar Bears (5-1-1) extended their win streak over the Judges (6-2-0) to three straight victories dating back to a 2-1 win in 2011.
Women’s Volleyball — The Bowdoin College volleyball team polished off a perfect weekend at the Midcoast Classic with a pair of non-conference wins Saturday, sweeping Brandeis (25-16, 25-21, 25-20) in the morning and Colby-Sawyer (25-15, 25-19, 25-12) in the afternoon. The Polar Bears improve to 11-4 on the season and are 46-1 at home dating back to 2008.
