If you think that dream you had last night — the one where you had dinner with Justin Bieber — will stay between you and your dream journal, think again. Japanese scientists have created an algorithm that uses brain scans from pictures shown while you’re awake to predict what you’re seeing while you sleep. So far, it has been able to do do so with 60% accuracy, which means the results aren’t just accurate by chance. Read more about the process and see some of the images it generates on Smithsonian‘s Surprising Science blog. And anyway, you might as well admit it — we heard you singing along to Justin’s “One Time” on the radio.
