Men’s Soccer — Eric Goitia converted a penalty kick with 6.4 seconds remaining in regulation and Bowdoin College and Hamilton College played to a 2-2 tie in a NESCAC game at Hamilton’s Love Field on Oct. 13.
Women’s Soccer — Kiersten Turner scored the game’s only goal as the Bowdoin College women’s soccer team topped Hamilton College 1-0 at Love Field on Saturday.
Women’s Volleyball — The Bowdoin College women’s volleyball team reached the 20-win plateau for the second-straight season with a pair of strong regional wins on Saturday at Morrell Gymnasium.
Football — Hamilton sophomore Jeffrey Hopsicker threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to classmate Joe Jensen with 5:16 remaining in the fourth quarter to give the Continentals a 14-13 comeback win over Bowdoin on Saturday.
Field Hockey — Katie Riley recorded a hat trick as the third-ranked Bowdoin College field hockey team shutout Hamilton College 6-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Women’s Rugby — The Bowdoin College women’s rugby team knocked off the rust from a bye week to thump Middlebury on Saturday, 26-0.
Cross Country — The Bowdoin College cross country teams both posted second-place finishes at the 2012 Maine State Championships hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday.
Rowing — At the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta on Oct. 13 Bowdoin dominated Fours competition with wins in the Men’s and Women’s Fours events, while the Novice Men and Novice Women were first to finish among novice fours entries. The Men’s Eight finished 11th out of 15, and the Women’s Eight was 23rd in a field of 50. Holy Cross won both the men’s and women’s events in the eights.
